The candidate for this position is a self-motivated software engineer with over 10 years of progressive experience developing high throughput, low latency, highly scalable software solutions using Microsoft technologies, and a variety of cloud services.
They are also a proven team player, utilizing Agile methodology to solve business problems. Specifically when they led an agile team that developed a clean energy-related loan origination management product, and contractor data processing service using Angular, .Net WebAPI, entity framework, SQL server, and Azure cloud platform—reducing nightly data pull time from an average of 4 hours to 90 mins.
They have served loyally and valuably in different companies, including CoStar Group and Renovate America,inc. They joined the company after serving First American Corporation since 2018.
Asset Management Organizational Needs
The development group is a subset of the LA-based asset management company with decades of experience managing fixed-income assets. The company is responsible for building out the company’s proprietary software platform to empower end users to make the best and timely decisions and actions in the investment lifecycle.
Organizationally, the company was looking for a candidate with strong experience in application cloud migration and development projects (Azure/AWS), developing with NoSQL database integration such as REDIS or MongoDb, and an understanding of capital markets as a huge plus.
Key skills sought out by the company for the role included: the ability to work with cross-functional teams—business analyst and the management teams—-to design and implement solutions that drive operational efficiency and enhance investment returns across the entire technology stack (c#, ASP.NET Core, React/TS, MSAzure, and SQL Server).
